Sometimes there are VERY early makeovers in this house.
Two girls went with me to pick asparagus and rhubarb. Because they were wielding knives (their favorite part), I didn't have a moment to take a picture :)
"M" day in kindergarten meant sending a picture to Ellsy's teacher with a mustache, mom and a Maryn wearing makeup
3 monkeys in mama's bed
Making banana muffins
Celebrating summer birthdays and playing bingo during a class zoom meeting
Rides with Papa
GG is a kitty lover
MM is a kitty lover only if the kitty is playing nice
Maryn gets the least amount of time at the farm with dad, so when it happens, it's a happy day!
MM wants long hair...so she requests me to put her blankie like this so her hair will be long :)
My love language is "getting things done." :) So on Mother's Day I was able to cross some items off my list. No flowers or chocolates for this mama, just manual labor, right Benny!?
The girls are planning on selling decorative corn this fall and have plans for a cucumber stand :) They are going to buy horses with all the money they are going to make.
My list crosser-offer :)
We enjoyed spending time with GG on Mother's Day
Yikes!
We don't do "chores," we call it "mommy-training"
It goes much smoother :)
Painting... nails or faces...it's a much asked for activity
I was a bear, if you wondered :)
Animal lover Clara asks mom often for kitties...
mom's answer is always N.O.
Sun's out, Guns out!
Last spelling test in kindergarten
Humidity does wonders for this girl's hair.
I will miss our low-key Sunday meals together after all of this is over.
Just some "fashion girls"
Scouting crops with dad
He treated us to ice cream afterwards
Maryn asked "is this a date, Dad?"
Maryn and Clara helped dad build the duck's house for the pond
The same day we sent the ducks to the pond, we found 7 baby bunnies in our yard.
It was good timing.
Ben put in a lot of effort to make sure we gave the ducks their best chance of survival "in the wild"
She handled it better than I thought she would.
She was such a good duck mama. She will say every so often how she misses them.
So far they have made it two days on their own.
Who gets to drive is always a big deal or a big argument
MM got her turn with the bunnies
We actually had somewhere to go this week.
Church staff meetings have resumed.
It was HARD for the girls to wake up after so many days of being able to slowly get up and around.
They asked where we were going. I said church. They asked if they could wear dresses.
Sure, why not!
