2016 Swinger Family Christmas Letter

Hola! Feliz Navidad! It's that time of year when I get to review our year together. And wowsers, do they go fast any more!

Ben's year started out at Ag Partners and ended at Menold Bros. He is a farmer (his dream come true:)! He is adding to their operation his agronomy skill set and will be offering scouting and grid sampling to local farmers in the area as well as selling Beck's Seed. He is a busy guy so we really value our time together when he is at home.

I try to keep up with Clara and Ellsy, a hard task, but one I am thankful for. Staying at home with them and getting my church work done is a challenge for sure, but it always seems to work out. I'm on the leadership team for MOM's which stands for "Moms on Mission." This is really near and dear to my heart because (first hand experience) moms need to be refreshed and encouraged OFTEN. :)

Clara is 4. She has a lot of her mom in her, which I find scary:) She is our organizer, planner, and cleaner. If there is a job to do, she is ready and willing. She also tends to be shy around people, but then comes home and won't let anyone else get a word in, often bouncing off the walls! She works hard to excel in the things she does and has a hard time losing. Her daddy is the apple of her eye.

Ellsy is 2 1/2. She is a social one, not afraid to tell anyone and everyone that she is in big girl undies or that she has "tooted." :) She LOVES to make people laugh, especially her sister. Her favorite things to do right now are ride her trike, play catch, watch a Daniel Tiger show, or push her sister's buttons (something she is really good at). She is looking forward to going to"school" like her sister. Her mommy still rocks her to bed every night.

Both of our girls love to be mommies...which is good (I think) because Benna baby girl #3 is set to arrive in early March. As I write this, that seems really close, yet really far away. Because of insurance changes with the job switch, this baby is set to be a Wildcat...being delivered in Manhattan. Ben asks for prayers, he won't have to deliver a baby on the road:)

As is tradition, the year 2016 shall be named the year of "Constant Chatter." There are days my ears literally go numb with the amount of talking that they take in...Clara and Ellsy know how to talk well...too well sometimes:) On the flip side, if we are honest, we wouldn't have it any other way.

May you feel the love of Jesus this holiday season and throughout 2017,
Ben, Jenna, Clara, Ellsy, and Benna #3 (we are taking name suggestions) Swinger
