Last Wednesday, I came home from a night at church to find Ben and Clara on the couch with a barf bowl. That was the beginning. It took five days for Clara to be able to keep food in. I told Ben I wasn't feeling well on Friday. That was when he told me he was coming home from work because he didn't feel well. So…we both ended up sick with a sick two year old…the kind of sick that knocks you out and you can't function…at all. Not a twenty-four hour flu, but a when will it ever end flu. We thought Ellsy was going to make it through it all, but on Monday morning she most definitely caught it.
It has been a tough week. I'm ready to get out of the house. I was going to yesterday, but the car wouldn't start. I finally got the kitchen cleaned up today and the disposal backed up and flooded a portion of the basement. So I'm going to name all the things I'm thankful for this week.
-Lysol
-hot water
-bathtubs
-washing machines
-Paid sick leave
-flexible job
-Apple TV
-PBS Kids
-toast
-probiotics
-children's tylenol
-family
-new puppy
-spring is coming
In the thick of it. A healthy Clara, would never just fall asleep on the couch. Notice she has one of Ellsy's blankies. Hers had to be washed several times this week and we used Ellsy's extra one as a substitute.
We tried so very hard to keep this babe contained.
It was hard on both girls to have to stay away from each other.
It was also my brothers birthday this weekend. Bummer. They decided to get a new dog and braved coming into the sick house to show Clara. Notice they stayed by the door:)
Yet to be named.
You have to get creative when you can't leave the house. Shaving cream.
It's Papa Eddie again.
We decided to make Daddy some Rosie's Coleslaw as a treat when he came home for lunch today...
Seconds later.
:) Words.

So sad, but glad to hear you are on the mend. Good job with naming those gifts. Hugs to you all.
